Time for Manipura

Hey Yogis,

I hope you have been taking this time to focus on clearing and strengthening your sacral and root chakra. We are about to begin on our Solar Plexus clearing journey. This yellow chakra is the third primary chakra of the Hindu tradition. SolarPlexus chakra is also known as Manipura in sandskript.

Manipura’s element is fire so I recommend going outside when the sun is at its peak in the day as well as practicing yoga in the morning sunrise. As the nights get colder you can set up a campfire and meditate around the sounds of the fire.

This chakra deals with a since of self- I am going through a lot of changes in my life right now and I have lost a good since of myself. I have lost all of my self-esteem with all the weight I’ve gained so I am really going to take my time in all of the different elements we can do to help heal this chakra.

Overactive

  • Life ending up in disaster
  • Aggression
  • Manipulative
  • Sex feels like an addiction
  • Tense muscles
  • Creating drama when things go wrong

Under Active

  • Low energy
  • Low self esteem
  • Attraction to stimulates
  • Poor follow through

Imbalanced

  • Poor digestion
  • Eating disorder
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Hard to loose/gain weight

My solar plexus is definitely imbalanced as well as going between under active and over active. I am experiencing a lot of digestion issues and I have been dieting in unhealthy ways trying to loose weight.

Crystal healing is a good way to help heal this chakra. Some

Now lets talk food! More specifically yellow food. Different foods like yellow squash, pineapple, bananas, beans, peppers, oats, millet, quinoa, and spices like ginger and turmeric.

So for this weeks smoothie we are heading to the tropics for the Tropical Solar Plexus Chakra Smoothie.

So for the tropical smoothie I have one whole banana, a handful of pineapple and half handfuls of peach/strawberries. You can sub mango for the peaches to get you into even a more tropical vibe for your smoothie.

Now this chakra is located in the stomach so we have an all-level morning solar plexus yoga flow.
